Macella Wan
Macella completed her Law degree at the University of Hull in 2004, and then obtained her professional qualifications at the Leeds BPP Law School in 2005.
Macella joined the expanding and reputable practice at Burton Burton & Ho in 2006, and was admitted as a solicitor in November 2008.
She has worked on a variety of company commercial matters, including real estate, acquisition and disposal of commercial properties, debt recovery and civil litigation. Being fluent in Cantonese, she has been well placed to act for local Chinese businesses.
Macella has a keen interest in Environmental law and is responsible for research within the International Centre for Legal Compliance (ICLC), keeping informed of developments in demonstration Carbon Capture Storage projects and other carbon related regulatory issues. She is keen to promote a sustainable economy to avoid critical climate change and irreversible climate damage.
Within the PRC division, Macella's primary areas of responsibility include research and public relations. She enjoys working closely with local company clients in making opportunities in China a reality. With her exceptional understanding of Chinese culture, she looks forward to building and sustaining strong legal links and relationships with firms in China.
